CIRCE brings the documentary "All In. A commitment to AI" to Aragón TV to show how artificial intelligence is becoming real-world solutions for industry
Aragón TV will premiere the documentary "All In. A commitment to AI", a production that reflects how artificial intelligence has become a central lever in CIRCE’s activity and innovation processes, enabling the development of technologies with direct application in areas such as industry, energy, mobility and sustainability.
The documentary will be broadcast on Saturday, 25 July at 12:00 p.m., following the match between S.D. Huesca and Petro de Luanda, and will subsequently be available on the regional broadcaster’s new digital platform.
Directed by Adrián Buenaventura and produced by CIRCE, "All In. A commitment to AI" shows the technology centre’s evolution towards a model in which artificial intelligence is embedded across research, innovation and technology transfer, accelerating the development of solutions and the generation of new opportunities for companies, public administrations and society.
The production takes as its starting point CIRCE’s first Artificial Intelligence OlimpIAds, an initiative launched a year ago with a bottom-up approach to explore new applications of this technology. Unlike traditional models, where priorities are usually defined from the top down, it was the centre’s own professionals who identified opportunities, proposed ideas, formed multidisciplinary teams and developed proposals aimed at addressing real challenges related to industry, the energy transition, sustainable mobility and digitalisation.
More than 100 people took part in this experience, giving rise to 15 projects that demonstrated the potential of combining sector-specific knowledge, technology and collaboration to accelerate innovation.
The documentary follows the participating teams from the early stages of developing their proposals in Zaragoza through to their presentation at AI4 Las Vegas, one of the leading international events in the field of applied AI. The experience was completed with an immersion in the Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem, where participants were able to learn first-hand from some of the world’s leading organisations in this area.
Artificial intelligence as a strategic capability
For CIRCE’s CEO, Andrés Llombart, the documentary reflects a commitment that goes far beyond the adoption of new technological tools: "The best way to understand the potential of artificial intelligence is to see it applied to real problems. Today at CIRCE, we have developments that help improve urban mobility, optimise energy infrastructure, support the sustainable deployment of renewable energies and automate knowledge-intensive processes. What matters is not the technology itself, but its ability to generate value for companies and society".
Through testimonials, experiences and real examples, "All In. A commitment to AI" shows how these technologies can accelerate knowledge generation, technology transfer and the development of new capabilities.
Among the projects developed during the OlimpIAds are VoltIA, a solution capable of diagnosing the real condition of electric vehicle batteries during a standard charging process; OmniaLight, an intelligent system that combines AI and computer vision to adapt traffic lights to the actual behaviour of pedestrians and vehicles; OrniGuard, a predictive tool that helps plan wind farms while minimising their impact on biodiversity; and La Ofertadora, an intelligent assistant designed to automate and streamline the preparation of proposals and tenders.
But CIRCE’s commitment to AI goes far beyond these initiatives. The centre is currently working on models capable of predicting the production of photovoltaic and wind power facilities, optimising the operation and maintenance of energy assets, estimating the remaining lifetime of critical wind turbine components, strengthening the cybersecurity of electrical infrastructure and developing advanced artificial vision systems applied to quality control, industrial inspection and waste management. It is also incorporating predictive tools and decision-support systems to help companies and institutions improve process efficiency and accelerate their digital transformation.
When innovation starts from within
Beyond documenting a specific initiative, the documentary reflects a vision of innovation based on the active involvement of people. The AI OlimpIAds showed that the adoption of new technologies does not depend solely on having advanced tools, but also on an organisation’s ability to activate the knowledge of its teams and turn it into projects with the potential to create impact.
"The AI OlimpIAds allowed us to see that innovation does not always emerge from the top down. When the right context is created, it is people themselves who identify opportunities, propose solutions and accelerate transformation. This documentary shows how we have used artificial intelligence not only to develop new projects, but also to evolve the way we innovate and generate value for companies and society", says Llombart.
