Description and objectives

INCIT-EV aims to demonstrate an innovative set of charging infrastructures, technologies and their associated business models, ready to enhance the EV user experience beyond early adopters, thus fostering EV market share in the EU. 5 demonstration environments in urban, peri-urban and extra-urban conditions will be ready for the deployment of 7 use cases, addressing:

  • Optimized smart and bi-directional charging at different aggregation levels.
  • Dynamic wireless charging race in an urban area
  • Dynamic wireless charging for long distance (prototype e-highway for TEN-T corridors)
  • Charging center in a park&ride facility
  • Superfast charging systems for EU corridors
  • Low-power DC bi-directional charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, including two-wheelers
  • Wireless charging opportunity for cab queues at airports and central stations

Value proposition

  • 200 kW Bidirectional AC/DC Charger: innovative 200 kW bidirectional charger using silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors and an 800 V DC bus. It provides fast and efficient charging, charging and discharging capabilities, contributing to the flexibility of the power grid.
  • 25 kW Bidirectional AC/DC Charger: we offer a 25 kW bidirectional charger, also with SiC semiconductors and an 800 VDC bus. This charger is versatile and suitable for smaller scale applications while maintaining efficiency and flexibility.
  • 12.5 kW Isolated Bidirectional Isolated DC/DC Converter: we developed a 12.5 kW isolated bidirectional converter with SiC semiconductors. This component ensures efficient power transfer between systems with different voltage levels, facilitating integration into various configurations.
  • 50 kW Inductive Opportunity Charger: introducing a 50 kW inductive opportunity charger with a frequency of 85 kHz. It offers an efficient and convenient solution for wireless charging in opportunity situations.
  • 90 kW Dynamic Inductive Charger: we introduce a 90 kW dynamic inductive charger with a frequency of 85 kHz. This system provides fast and dynamic charging to meet the demands of high-power electric mobility. 
  • Inductive Charger Interoperability: we ensure the interoperability and coupling of inductive charging solutions from different manufacturers, promoting a cohesive and efficient wireless charging ecosystem.
