CIRCE strengthens its commitment to training and talent by joining the +STEAM Aragon Alliance

An initiative to promote scientific and technological vocations from an early age.s desde edades tempranas

CIRCE has joined the +STEAM Aragon Alliance, a strategic initiative that continues to grow with the incorporation of new entities committed to the promotion of young talent and training in science and technology in the region. This alliance aims to make Aragon a leading community in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) vocations, through collaboration between the public sector, the private sector, the education sector and citizens.

Promoted by CEOE Aragón and Directivas de Aragón, with the support of the Government of Aragón and more than 50 member organizations, the alliance takes another step forward with the incorporation of eight new entities: CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico, Fundación Hidrógeno Aragón, Edelvives, Academia de Inventores, Virtual&Civan, Colegio Salesiano Nuestra Señora del Pilar, IES Santiago Hernández and Obra Diocesana Santo Domingo de Silos.

STEAM training in Aragon: a collective commitment

These new memberships will allow the promotion of joint actions such as the organization of conferences and workshops for professional orientation towards STEAM professions, the development of science camps and colonies, communication and awareness activities on the importance of technological vocations, visits to research centers and events for the requalification of talent.

The alliance has also presented the II report +STEAM Aragón: Science and Technology, engine of growth, which collects the progress since its launch in 2022 and defines proposals in three priority lines: increase the educational offer in STEAM areas and dual vocational training; inspire new vocations from primary education, making visible references and combating gender stereotypes; and consolidate public-private collaboration to strengthen the innovative ecosystem of Aragon.STEAM training in Aragon: a collective bet

Signatories' statements

The president of Directivas de Aragón, María Sasot, and the president of CEOE Aragón, Miguel Marzo, have considered that "Nowadays, it is more urgent than ever to promote collaboration between all the actors in the educational and productive sphere to boost STEAM vocations, cultivate tomorrow's talent and prepare it to strengthen our companies as generators of scientific and technological knowledge. Aragon is at a key moment, and this collaboration will give us the opportunity to move towards a more innovative, competitive and inclusive society."

Alejandro Cebrián of Edelvives:
"The signing of this agreement represents a new impulse in our commitment to an education that is not only connected to reality, but that prepares to understand, question and transform it. At Edelvives we have been working for more than a decade for a STEAM education that seeks to develop in each student the ability to learn difficult things quickly, to connect diverse knowledge and to act with judgment in a world increasingly traversed by technology. STEAM competencies are not only tools for employability, they are competencies for life: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, entrepreneurship... And cooperation between the educational, business and institutional spheres is a powerful formula for building an environment where these capabilities flourish".

Luis Martín from Academia de Inventores:
"We firmly believe that the future is built from the vocations of the present. We are committed to a STEAM education that inspires young people, with special attention to equal opportunities. Joining the +STEAM Aragón Alliance is a natural step in our commitment to bring science, technology and creativity to every corner of our community".

For CIRCE, equal opportunities are essential: women bring a decisive and enriching perspective that we want to see fully integrated in the STEAM field. That is why we consider it essential to promote initiatives that multiply vocations and consolidate this talent in Aragon, such as this +STEAM alliance. With knowledge, commitment and passion, we contribute to the technological future being written here, together with the entire ecosystem".

With this initiative we seek to inspire and guide young people in choosing their academic and professional future".
