TechnoPark to host Europe's largest technical event on electric vehicle charging in November

Aragon will become the European epicenter of electric mobility with the celebration of the CharIN European Testival, the largest European technical conference that will bring together leading manufacturers of electric vehicles and charging systems. The aim is to carry out real compatibility tests between prototype charging systems and electric cars and trucks. The meeting will take place from November 24 to 28 at TechnoPark MotorLand and will allow testing the compatibility between different models of electric cars and chargers. This aspect is key to ensure that the entire charging infrastructure is interoperable and universal throughout Europe regardless of the manufacturer.
Aragon has been selected by the international association CharIN as the venue thanks to the joint candidacy submitted by CIRCE and TechnoPark, which stood out for its technical soundness and commitment to innovation. CIRCE, as a technology partner, will play an essential role by providing its expertise in interoperability between electric vehicles and charging points and energy management and will assume the technical coordination.
For its part, TechnoPark offers the perfect setting for its positioning as an ecosystem of innovation and talent and a benchmark in the electric mobility sector. Thus, it will make available to the event its unique infrastructures representative of sustainable mobility and will enable access to a renewable energy environment. In this way, the entire event will be developed with 100% renewable energy, reaffirming the commitment to sustainability and energy transition.
New truck loading standard to be tested for the first time in Aragon
During the day, technical tests will be carried out with the European communication standard CSS, a fast charging standard that ensures that any vehicle can be charged anywhere in Europe. As a novelty, the new MCS (Megawatt Charging System) standard, designed for ultra-fast charging of electric trucks, will be tested for the first time, reinforcing the role of this event as a testing ground for the next generation of mobility.
"That Aragon has been selected to host this European interoperability test center is a recognition of the commitment and capacity for innovation that exists in our territory. It is the result of a strategic alliance between a technology center such as CIRCE, a benchmark Technology Park such as TechnoPark and the strong support of public institutions. This collaboration allows us to take a decisive step towards positioning Aragon as a leader in sustainable mobility and as a European test bench for the future of electric vehicles", said Andrés Llombart, general manager of CIRCE - Technology Center.
For Daniel Urquizu, managing director of TechnoPark MotorLand “the choice of our Park is fundamental in our strategy to continue positioning ourselves as a hub of research, development and source of wealth in the territory”, Urquizu has highlighted the arrival of this event “which only has two annual editions in Europe and that will bring to Aragon world novelties in the field of electric recharging”.
